our R4R Restaurants for Resilience
Mandatory Baseline Criteria?
- Restaurant should use only reusable food-ware on-site.
-Restaurant should avoid Styrofoam containers.
-Restaurant should ensure straws, utensils, and takeout bags are not plastic.
- Avoid the usage of plastic bottles.
ADDITIONAL OPTIONAL CRITERIA FOR CONCIDERATION:
- Engages in Sustainability Initiatives and Partnerships.
- All seafood is ‘Best Choice’ or ‘Good Alternative’ as defined by Seafood Watch, or no seafood is served.
- Water conservation and green clean -up practices and pollution mitigation efforts are implemented.
- Source ingredients locally and choose local options whenever possible to reduce the carbon footprint and support sustainable farming practices.
- Recycling Practices - Follow proper recycling practices to ensure waste is managed responsibly.
Please try to avoid the usage or selling of plastic bottles!
All nominated restaurants meeting these standards will be recognized in our monthly newsletter, website, and eligible for future R4R Networking Events.
