Residents for Resilience (R4R) is seeking dedicated volunteers to join our mission of bridging the gap between city leaders, scientists, and residents while actively supporting solutions to four critical water issues:

  • Safe and clean drinking water

  • Flood mitigation

  • Coastal resiliency

  • Waterway restoration

We’re currently looking for volunteers to join the following committees:


🌟 Committees You Can Join:

1. Events Committee ---Help plan and support our in-person and virtual outreach events, including our signature Waterlogged webinars and Restaurants for Resilience celebrations.


2. Media, Communications & Public Relations Committee ---Collaborate with R4R leadership to keep our members informed and engaged through newsletters, social media, press releases, and outreach to donors, partners, and the media.


3. Restaurants for Resilience Committee ---Support our mission to recognize and celebrate local restaurants that lead the way in sustainability and eco-friendly practices in the food industry.


4. Development & Fundraising Committee ---Help ensure the growth and long-term impact of R4R by developing fundraising strategies, securing grants, building donor relationships, and finding sponsorship opportunities.

Ready to Get Started?

 

1-Events Committee:

Helps oversee the planning and execution of webinars, in person community outreach events including our

Waterlogged and Restaurants for Resilience events.


2-Media, Communications and Public Relations Committee:

Works together with our R4R leaders to help share imperative news and information with our members as well as communicates with donors, stakeholders, and others on important R4R updates.  This Committee shall also help oversee all newsletters, official communications, social media platforms, online presence, and contacts with the media.

 

3-Restaurants for Resilience Committee:

Members work closely with our R4R Chairs of this committee, as they search for and honor local restaurants who meet our baseline criteria of exemplary sustainable practices in the restaurant industry.

 

4-R4R Development/Fund Raising Committee:

This committee focuses on the growth and sustainability of

Residents for Resilience. Members will help create and implement strategies for fundraising, grant applications, donor relations, and membership recruitment. The Development Committee will work closely with R4R leadership to identify potential funding sources, cultivate relationships with philanthropic organizations, and ensure long-term financial health. Additionally, this committee will play a key role in securing sponsorships and partnerships to support R4R’s initiatives and expanding our impact in the community.



🌎 Become a Community Ambassador


Do you love sharing important local information and being a voice for your neighborhood? As a Community Ambassador, you’ll serve as a vital liaison between Residents for Resilience and your community.


You'll help us:

  • Share important updates on climate, flooding, and water quality

  • Keep R4R informed about your community’s concerns and needs

  • Highlight ongoing resilience efforts taking place in your area

  • Represent R4R at neighborhood events and meetings

  • Help build stronger, more connected communities
